Kayak
kr1200/per person
Blue ice, alpine mountains, and stunning fjord landscapes create the perfect setting
for a kayak tour. Engabrevatnet, also known as Svartisvatnet, offers incredible views
of the spectacular Engabreen glacier. Between steep mountains, you can experience
fantastic nature on a kayak tour in sheltered waters. Together with your guide, you
will paddle across the lake to the glacier river's outlet.
The history of the glacier and its impact on the landscape is the theme of the tour.
The glacier's erosion of the bedrock is why we can enjoy both the water and the
magnificent surroundings today. The adventure starts at Brestua, where necessary
equipment and training are provided. Life jackets, paddles, necessary safety training,
and basic paddling technique instruction are given before the tour starts. The tour is
suitable for most people and requires no previous experience. The guide will provide
the necessary instructions before you leave land. Our kayaks are of the duo type, a
double kayak with space for two. These are very safe and stable, making them
suitable for those with little or no prior experience.
The area offers fantastic views and exciting history. Enjoy Svartisen from the water.
